Instructions for Arrival and Dismissal
For purposes of student safety and security, all middle school students (grades 6-8) will arrive and be dismissed via the side door entrance of the main building. High school students will arrive and be dismissed via the front door of Maimone Hall.
All other entrances will remain locked and MUST NOT be used.
Student Arrival Time: 7:20 – 7:45 a.m.
Student must report to homeroom at the 7:45 a.m. bell. Students arriving in homeroom after 7:50 a.m. are tardy. Students who arrive after 7:50 a.m. MUST come into the office to sign in and MUST receive a pass to enter class.
Student Dismissal Time: 2:55 p.m.
No students are to remain on the school grounds later than
3:15 p.m. without the supervision of a teacher or staff member.
No students will be called over the P.A. system from 3:15 until 4:00 p.m. Please Note: ALL students must be picked up by 4:00 p.m. The school is not responsible for unsupervised students on school grounds after 4:00 p.m.
Automobile Entrance And Exit Instructions
All traffic must enter via Ellenboro/Henrietta Road and exit via 221-A. Middle School students grades 6-8 will be dismissed out of the Main Building’s side entrance. All traffic for middle school students should stay in the right lane. High school students (grades 9-12) will be dismissed out of the front of Maimone Hall. High school traffic should merge to the left in front of Maimone Hall. If you are to pick up both middle school and high school students stay in the right lane, and we will ask the high school students to walk across at the crosswalk only. Please help us keep all students safe during dismissal.
Student Drivers
A parking pass for students will be $5 and must be obtained from the resource officer no later than the second day of school in order to park on school property. Students driving to and from school must park on school property in THEIR ASSIGNED, NUMBERED SPACE ONLY. Students with vehicles are prohibited from transporting any other student in their vehicle without the written permission of the non-driving student’s parent/guardian. Returning to any motor vehicle during school hours is strictly prohibited without administrative permission.
Student drivers are required to leave the school grounds after dismissal at the end of the school day.
Loitering is strictly prohibited! Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy reserves the right to deny a student parking privileges and require that the student be delivered and retrieved from school by an adult.
